PHOSCLEAR is a buffered alum product used for water clarification and phosphate removal. It improves water quality by removing soluble phosphate from the water column and by precipitating out suspended dirt particles to clarify the pond or lake. Depending on weather conditions, several applications throughout the season may be required.
- Consult product label prior to use
- Apply at a minimum of 80 lbs./acre-foot for water clarification
- Apply 20-40 lbs./acre-foot for phosphate control
- For water garden applications apply 1/2 cup per 1000 gallons of water
- Safe for koi and aquatic plants when used as labeled
- No additional buffer required
- Apply as a slurry
